David Kates is a highly skilled pianist and composer with an impressive portfolio of work. He has composed for a variety of media, including Disney cartoons, video games, documentaries, and feature films. His credits include popular game franchises such as Mass Effect and Battlestations: Pacific, as well as TV shows like Disney's Sing Me a Story with Belle. David has performed with and music directed notable artists such as Tyne Daly, Theodore Bikel, Ed Asner, Freda Payne, and Florence LaRue. With over 25 years of experience as a music director, accompanist, and choral conductor, David is a true master of his craft.

In 2023, David formed his new band  David Kates & The Fall Guys, a thrilling new bossa nova jazz quintet hailing from Porto, Portugal. This talented ensemble brings together American, Brazilian, and Portuguese influences to create a unique and unforgettable sound.
